Grab your JD and start swiggin' cause Lemmy says "If you don't like the Supersuckers, you don't like Rock and Roll!" and Lemmy never lied. MOTORHEAD built the bridge between punk and metal in Jolly ol' England, and SUPERSUCKERS carried that load here. Hard partying hard rockin' they've been breaking eardrums for over 30 years and I've been a fan for most. (they even have a country following!) Frantic, loud and raw, Eddie Spaghetti is pulling double duty on vocals and bass. From the opener "All of the Time" he's laying down a foundation of hard southern rock that is built on by "Metal" Marty Chandler's beautifully overdriven guitar. You'd think that "Captain" Chris Von Streicher steady drum influence might maintain some sense of civility, but if that's what you thought, you haven't been paying attention. Juvenile, crude and just plain filthy, they tick all the boxes for great music to party to. Songs like "Private Parking Lot", "Breakin' My Balls" and "What's Up with this MF'n Thing" are short, sweet and fast, and played with impeccable precision but yet feel loose and relaxed. PLAY AT VOLUME FOR FULL EFFECT!

I shouldn't have been surprised but "Cold Wet Wind" is country, but the way country should be played. With friends like Willie Nelson, Steve Earl and The Reverand Norton Heat, this should be a given. My favorite on this CD though was their version of ZZ Tops "Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers" played to perfection. The south has always confused me. How can such a conservative area come out with such great rock music? Supersuckers have always had a fuck you if you don't like it mindset, and damn it, I like it! Perfect for playing at parties, there's something for everyone and if there's a song someone doesn't take to, well no worries, the next one's coming up fast. A must for any collection!
