Boundless
Strangers

From the site of the record company: STRANGERS, born in Madrid in 2012, was founded by Miguel Martin and Abel Ramos. They have recorded and published three studio albums; "Emotions" (2013), "Survival" (2015) and "Brand New Start" (2019). After some lineup changes, STRANGERS decided to join forces with Celia Barloz as frontwoman. And even though the start wasn't too promising, that is proving to be a very good move. The reason I can say that is because the 2024 EP "Whispers", which was her first with her only got a 5/10 rating on this very site. But it was headed with the words "Good First Steps". Well, I must say that I haven't heard that EP, but I have listened to "Boundless" a few times, and although it's not a masterpiece, it really is a rather good album.
The Melodic Rock that STRANGERS play can be classed as solid, straight forward and direct. The band just doesn't do strange breaks, difficult passages or weird tempo changes. Nope, nothing in that direction. "Boundless" is brutally honest, very much open and completely transparent in music as well as sound, as it has a brilliant production. Not only that, when a band has gotten used to a good vocalist and is able to write songs that not only are right for them as a band, but also are absolutely fitting for their singer, you are on to a winner. And that is exactly what STRANGERS have been able to achieve. At least, that is my conclusion when listening to "Boundless". In just over 44 minutes these Spaniards are able to convince you that they are a good ensemble, and that the Melodic Rock they make is worth listening to.
As for them being signed by Frontiers Music Srl, they are precisely the kind of band playing the kind of music that feels completely at home with that record company. Like I mentioned in the first paragraph, this isn't bad at all. It's not pulling at my heartstrings either, but this is a solid enough attempt at bringing a nice album to the masses. If STRANGERS is able to keep on growing, I feel that they won't take too much time in wowing me, you and hopefully all the Melodic Rock fans around the world. "Boundless" is a good base to start when you are trying to take over the world. If they do, they won't be STRANGERS anymore, will they?
