SOUND OF ORIGIN is a Stoner/Fuzz/Doom Metal band from Huddersfield, England, United Kingdom. This is their second full-length album after the much heralded ''Seeds of the Past'' that was released back in July of 2017.

Man, it feels good to have something really groovy like this. Their latest album, ''The All Seeing Eye'' is a welcome return to something much more organic. They've gone back to the something very reminiscent to ''Deliverance'' by CORROSION OF CONFORMITY and that sound is really giving us a new round of tasty, fuzzy, old-school rocking guitar play and a standout vocalist. The groovy, distortion-laden, southern-accented, Sabbath-influenced band really nailed it. I really enjoyed ''Lockjaw'' because it was such a throwback to that time.

The music on here sounds livelier than the past album, they seem to aim for a more distinct sound and that helps everything stick together and stand out much more. The guitars give out chunky riffing with just a pinch of Sabbath-esque doom, some southern rock influence, and fuzzboxes, wah-pedals, and other guitar effects. The riffs are big, prominent, churning, and rocking while Joel Bulsara's vocals have good melody and keep the songs flowing well. These combine to make some songs that stand pretty well and vary somewhat in style and tempo. Whether it's the thrashing tempo of "Not Dead Yet", the murky and moody trudge of "Morning Bird" or "Into the Vile", or the swaying and distorted "Tempest Dunes" they always do well with Joe Wilczynski guitar finding a groove you can just gel with in its warped tones and bang your head to while Joel Bulsara adds character and emotion with some fairly memorable melodies and lines. The tempo may shift up and the style may vary slightly, but this is a consistent album with a solid sound and rhythmic backbone of fat riffs.

''Voices Left Behind'' is the most emotional track off the new album, lyrics dealing with personal lost, regrets and time immemorial. Everyone can relate to this song because everyone has lost someone they loved and you always try to cherish their memory.  The lyrics are on point and are though provoking, they paint a picture really well of the emptiness well all fee inside at times. It's a nice departure from the more livelier songs of this opus.

It contains awesome song after awesome song across a variety of emotions and attitudes while mired in a delicious molasses of distortion and muddy, groovy riffs. ''The All Seeing Eye'' is an album that leaves you feeling overwhelmed and satisfied at the same time. It's grimy, groovy sound made it an early favorite of mine and I strongly recommend you at least listen to this album.
