SOMETIME THE WOLF are a 5 piece band from Preston who bring us the new album, "From Here And Earth". The Gothic Rock/Metal band have released the new album back on 17th September 2019. The album contains 9 fresh new songs to sink your teeth into. The band are signed to Transcend Records. The band are currently writing new material so we can expect good things to come in the future. The band say they are inspired b other bands such as DEFTONES, PORCUPINE TREE, PINK FLOYD and others. This brings together a band who have produced a haunting new album which is a pleasure to listen to. If you haven't heard the album yet I highly recommend it.

So to give a little bit of the songs on the new album, we will begin with the opening track "Earth Wane". It's a song which opens gently and smoothly, sliding us into the Gothic feel of the album. It's a good song to introduce the rest of the album and fives us a flavour of the music the band play. It's a song that has some strong guitar riffs. Song number 3 is called "Samaria (Breaking Of The Cloud)" and is a haunting track that gives us some powerful music played on the instruments and powerful vocals to back them up. The song is one you can easily head bang to. "Higher Heaven" is song number 6 and is 4 minutes 11 seconds of pure Gothic Metal at it's finest. It's got to be pointed out as one of the highlights of the album. Song number 8 is "Wish" which is a slow paced song that takes you on a journey through the layers of the music as it caries it's sound through the song.

Overall, "From Here And Earth" is a fine album to listen to. It's easy and chilled which makes for good listening. It gives quite a haunting feel and sound to the album. The band are a great example of just how good Gothic Metal can be. If your a fan of Gothic Metal, then I recommend you give the album a spin. There is more to come from SOMETIME THE WOLF in the future as they are working on new material at the moment so it will be interesting to see what's to come. A band worth following to see where they go from here.
