Daniel is also the singer and guitarist of Munich trio BLIND MESS. In 2019, Daniel suffered a burnout, which quickly ended in a deep depression. So he had to undergo psychological treatments. From September until October he visited a rehabilitation facility in the Black Forest. Without TV and other distractions from everyday life, he had enough time to devote himself to (t)his music. "Rehab" contains nine tracks.

Kicking off the album is the song "Colors of Hate." The song is fast moving, heavy and aggressive, fed by the vile vocals of Daniel Cammarota. The music is fairly simple in its delivery, straightforward and to the point. "Mind Machine" opens with another easy listening riff and some middle level rage. Until the shouted vocals come in, that is. It sort of reminds me a bit of later SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, at least the riffs and vocal cadence. "Bedouin Fire" features more of that "Rap/Metal" cadence that I just do not enjoy much. The riffs are too simple and I am not getting much of that darkness that they talked about on the album. Although, the vocals are pretty guttural.

"Gothic Creatures" features a slow groove, with some lead guitar work in the opening passage. The vocals are done in two parts...one low and one high...and at the same time. But again, those riffs are just too elementary...I've heard them before. "Locked" has a Hardcore feeling to it for me. Shouted vocals and over-reliance on open notes...though the riff does venture out a bit, you've heard it before. There is some variation on the album, and that says something. "Arrival of Madness" opens with heavy and aggressive notes, and moved slowly. There is more of that odd cadence that merges too closely with that Rap/Metal genre.

"Aftermath" opens with a slow, lumbering pace, with an easy guitar riff and audible bass notes, which I appreciate. The vocals are back to guttural once again, and there is a little less of that cadence I talked about before. "Dead Ghosts" leads off with open notes, followed by a Classic Metal riff and that cadence is back again. The shouted vocals have always turned me off, as my least favorite vocal style. The keys are a nice addition here however...where have they been for the entire album? They bring another element to the table which is always good when you are talking about Extreme music.

"Mindloss" closes the album. It opens with light clean guitars and drums, and some atmosphere to boot. It's a sad tale, and I have a feeling that this really has some meaning to Daniel. This time, the vocals are hushed, and the song definitely has depressing tones to it. Overall, it wasn't bad, it's just that the music was too simple. Too many of the riffs you have heard before. I appreciate the varied vocal styles and the song with keys in it, but beyond that, it swayed dangerously close to the Rap/Metal genre at times.
