Seven Nails - Factory Of Dreams album cover

SEVEN NAILS is a Symphonic Progressive Metal band from Southern Germany consisting of seven full time members. The band was formed in 2010 while just recently releasing their debut album "Factory Of Dreams".

Tim Lobitz opens up the album with a piano intro, a cool entrance. "Frozen Blue" turned out to be my number one, it begins like an actual power ballad, carried on by Violin and piano, only to burst out with frenzy riffing producing a melodic chorus in the vein of WITHIN TEMPTATION and EVENASCENCE. This one has some great lyrics, cutting edge riffing and a wonderful overall atmosphere. The title track "Factory Of Dreams" is bellyful of appetizing riffs, introducing the likes of modern Metal infused to Progressive and Symphonic impartialities. The memorable chorus states the following: "Welcome to the factory of dreams, Nothing is what it seems". "Behind Your Mirror" cuts down the belligerent former, displaying itself as a ballad, cruising with wonderful lyrics and joint / canon singing by the two vocalists. There are strong similarities to NIGHTWISH and AMARANTHE. "Let Me Breath" boastful chorus displays: "You don't know me, You don't own me, Let me leave, Let me live, Let me breath". Added to those lyrics is a fine line of melody. "Prisoner Of My Own", another balladry, rooted by the sensation of the violin, clear guitars and fantastic operatic vocals of Marion Hüttl who also played the violin. "Phantoms" is an energetic spinners, calling the forces of symphony along with blazing guitar force. "Pharaoh's Call" took further into the oriental touch with its own version of heaviness. "Choose Your Weapons Right" issued the band's progression and artistic figure, pretty neat indeed. Worth listening is also "Next Page" with an Industrial style riffing, but adding a little mystery to the mix along with a striking violin demonstration. It sounds like a RAMMSTEIN mixed METALLICA, probably not the older version.

Summing this one up, the album is perfectly made. The band blended Symphonic and Progressive Metal, crusted with philharmonic elements and melodies. SEVEN NAILS played this one out with a lot of character, assuming their own identity. I sincerely recommend this album. In General, their music would be treat for listeners of NIGHTWISH, EPICA, WITHIN TEMPATION, AMARANTHE. It the meeting place of power, classical music, modern elements and a whole lot of talent.
