Extreme genres of Blackened Death Metal are starting to become eroded due the great number of bands. Of course there are those who are different, those that try to create something with identity, and those who are lame enough to just copy. But there are those who are trying with all their creative strength to be above those who are in the regions between the team of the great bands and of those who will never get anywhere. And the work of the trio SEKTOR, from Landshut (Germany), shown on the new album called "Allegory" is very good.

They have and aggressive and brutal work, indeed, with a good technical insight, good tempos and even different elements from what we are used to hear on the style. But it's still a bit immature, what makes their musical work sounds like many bands from the same gender. Their work is good and we have the clear idea that they have a great musical talent, an amazing great potential, but they can improve their compositions in the future. The sound quality of the album is truly ok. Very good doses of musical weight and aggressiveness, with the same impact that we are used to hear from the great names of Blackened Death Metal. Some tunes could be sounding in better shape (especially on the guitar riffs), but it doesn't affect the whole result of the album.

Their music sounds immature indeed, but the energy and grasping melodic lines are truly fine, the guitar riffs and solos are indeed excellent (even some jazz moments can be heard, as on "Confession Despair"), bass guitar and drums are perfect, and the vocals are very good, using a good contrast between shrieked tunes and guttural grunts. The only problem is to bound, because with all these parts in excellent shape, the songs could be outstanding, but they are still resembling other works.

Some songs are really very good, with very good elements, as the catchy brutality shown on "The Process of Projecting the Consciousness into One Part" (very good rhythmic changes and excellent guitars), the Jazz parts shown on "Confession in Despair", the chaotic melodies and brutal insight of "Allegory" (with some normal aggressive voices in some parts, and Progressive moments), the harsh moments of "Die Blumen Des Bösen" and its aggressive guitars and the tempo changes of "The Icy Bequest of the Priest King".

They are a good band, with a great potential, and that can become a driving force on Blackened Death Metal in the future. Just a few corrections (a good producer can do miracles) and they'll be an outstanding band.
