RIK PRIEM'S PRIME is a project from Belgium and Germany. The debut album of RIK PRIEM'S PRIME will be released through Avenue Of Allies on May 23rd 2014. Some familiar names of the international Hard and Heavy scene were involved in the recording & production process of guitar player Rik Priem's band project. Musicians from Germany - Carsten 'Lizard' Schulz (DEAD END HEROES, FROZEN RAIN, LAVALLE, EVIDENCE ONE, MIDNITE CLUB) on lead vocals and Rami Ali (FREEDOM CALL, IRON MASK, LAVALLE, FRONTLINE, EVIDENCE ONE) on drums. The band also consists of bass player Vincent De Laat and Geert Margodt on keyboards.

It starts with the wonderful intro "Sunset Over Agartha" with sounds of nature & a kick-ass guitar solo like in AXEL RUDI PELL songs is great introduce to the album. There are nice sounding guitars & awesome drums in "Babylon Rising". It's a perfect connection of massive guitars with Carsten's voice, which is strong & also gentle, with an epic choir in a memorable chorus. Also worth on mention, is the AOR rhythmic section & brilliant guitar solo. My favourite is "Flirting With An Alien", which is catchy with memorable sounds, with EVIDENCE ONE echoes and melodic, heavier riffs. Nice energetic sounds of galloping guitars, well working bass & drums in AOR climate, brilliant solos and amazing chorus singing in choir. Carsten 'Lizard' Schulz has an interesting sound of voice; clear, deep, pure, and melodic singing. He can to show very easy emotions. It is hear able in "In With The Freaks", where he sings together with choir of band & rockin sounds. In "Bloodrush", melodic guitars meet powerful drums, an incredible choir in catchy refrain, and charming solos - what a killer sounds!

Noteworthy are also "Chameleon", the  instrumental track with guitars like in MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP songs and Hammond with URIAH HEEP vibes and "Blindfolded", with fabulous keys in AERYON climate, Bluesy guitars changing into Heavy Metal feeling. Also the beautiful ballad "Kneel Before The Pieces (Of A Broken Heart)" in old rock good climate. There's amazing 80's years in terms of riffs, but with modern kick-assness in melodic "The Future Is Now", "Child Of Anger" where is Heavy Metal sounds, progression with gentle sounds too; massive melodic guitars with Heavy Metal drums are in "Hungry At Heart" which has mega melody refrain.

Album of RIK PRIEM'S PRIME is full of Heavy Rock with full of energy, modern touch and Bluesy, Symphonic and even Metal echoes.
