Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: RECALL THE REMAINS; signed via San Promotion Records, hailing from England - performing Deathcore/Metalcore, on their debut EP entitled: "Dead Dreams" (released 5th of March, 2021).

Since formation in 2017; the quintet in question have only this here debut EP in their discography so far entitled: "Dead Dreams". 5 tracks ranging at around 17 minutes... RECALL THE REMAINS arrange an intricately designed formula on some Deathcore/Metalcore amalgamations.

Opening up with this majestic but dark hymn as an electronic acoustic distils a snarly remedy of rompy rampancy, "Darker Path" pummels you with this monstrously meaty riff until shouty pipes from consisting vocalist Jacob Collins yells with throaty raspiness. Screaming with tight roars while a clean, high-pitched persistence from audible bassist, and vocalist Jordan Barnes articulates with strong variation while this merged foundation in a borderline element on uniquely versatile vehemence and blistering grooves belt a bruisin calamity.

Injecting an infectiously chiselling thump, where venomous strikes pursuit with amplified hooks as a fretting firepower crescendo revels with ripping shreds from guitar duo Elliot Rowe & Zach Bowden. "Deadlines" dominate with this piledriving punch, jumpy melody pursues while manifesting this sulfurous yet primitive rawness to boot as rolling trembles scours with mighty growls and deeply brutal gutturals that fabricate an uproarious outburst of shrieking rhythms while solos scream with rising ramifications which forge a distinctively distinguished outrè on tuneful panache.

RECALL THE REMAINS surge with rapidly swift nimbleness, quintessential virtuosity and an enriching but organic substance on groundbreaking catchiness intertwining deadly rumbles with reverberating stompiness. Rambunctiously pounding with hammering heft, as sturdy thuds from battering drummer Anthony Morris slams the set with steely precision. "First Inversion" meticulously pulsates with volatile quirkiness, intensifying a killer laceration on ruthless pandemonium and ear-splitting blitzkrieg. Fiercely ferocious blast beats bashfully implode into an extremely exhilarating harmony, as hybrid grinds experiment with profusely robust & sonically seamless zeal. The Deathcore/Metalcore mergers are indefinitely flamboyant; slaying with tempestuously steamrolling diversity as a dynamically dexterous grit concretely grovels with trailblazing stability.

The penultimate thrasher "The Night Will Bleed" embellishes in a fluidly creative boundary in monolithic tempos with yet savagely sublime songwriting musicianship, as aggressive barks bellow with the euphonically intriguing èclat RECALL THE REMAINS marvelously resound with. There is a lot of progressively technical resonance surrounding speakers with towering empowerments as the overall concluding bleeder: "Our Hell" harnesses impeccably salubrious pig squeals that just shriek with momentous rage, while more stampeding rampages malevolently possesses you to kick chairs onto other chairs in no time.

Bottom line; I am compelled to say that I was really impressed with "Dead Dreams"; the "core" subgenres always evade me, yet every time I discover a new slab of these solid bands; I always have my original expectations heavily evolved. I enjoyed every second of RECALL THE REMAINS, which had me replaying this one a few handful of times. They most certainly outdone themselves with this one, and I look forward to their full-length album for sure. Surely an ambitious offering of feel-good, and enjoyably entertaining instrumentation that most definitely deserves checking out! Worthy of a few spins with no doubt in my mind.
