Some musicians have years of work in the Metal genre, the experience of being active will keep with them, and will allow them to make future works on a higher level than a band of beginners into music. Obviously, this isn't a closed concept that will be solid as a rock on 100% of the cases, but on the case of the Swedish quintet PRIME CREATION, it fits perfectly, because "Tears of Rage" is an excellent release. It's their second album, but the music the listeners will find here is something so mature that it seems that they have being playing music together, at least, for ten years or more. And their modern, heavy and strong traditional Heavy Metal has the landmark of the Swedish Heavy Metal School, a particular feature that only years on listening music can show. But be prepared, because they play heavy and aggressive, but melodic as well, with an amazing flux of energy, and they aren't a way that could be said as conventional. All these words mean that this album is great!

The album was produced by the band itself and co-produced by Pelle Saether (who mixed the album as well), and Janne Stark made the mastering. Their efforts created a clean and defined sound quality where everything can be heard and fully understood, but it sounds extremely heavy and modern, blending the best of both worlds. And the instrumental tunes are great! Their nine songs are truly excellent, and a charming experience for anyone. The abrasive weight combined with a charming chorus heard on "Fingers Crossed" (excellent vocals), the brutal melodic grasp of the guitars on "Lost in the Shades", the wise use of keyboards along with charming melodies during "Before the Rain", the technical/weighty approach of "Pretend till the End" and of "Walk Away", and... Well, what's best to say is that all their songs are really wonderful. There are no weak points, and no reason to point the best ones.

Modern, brutal, charming and melodic are just words that barely can describe the hooking and amazing work that PRIME CREATION did on "Tears of Rage". Hear it, buy it and enjoy this gift given by the quintet!
