Powerful Systm - Endless Transformation album cover

From their EPK, "Endless Transformation" creates a texture of powerful energetic sounds that embrace ethnic and symphonic instruments...a place where modern English vibes fuse with ancient Sanskrit verses. The songs invite the listener to a journey of self-discovery and transformation through evocative sonic landscapes, full of musical details for an intriguing listening experience." The album has four songs.

"Awake!" is the first. The Folky instruments in the beginning augment the smooth and easy sounds. There is a bright ray of melody in the chorus, in addition to more spirited sounds, as well as light Progressive elements from the meter shifting throughout the song. "Narasimhadeva" is a shorter offering, but with some very pretty ambient moments. Bass comes thumping out of the tunnel in the beginning with a mighty riff. It's not too heavy, however. There is a nice balance in the song. As the song moves on, the melodies become richer. This was a very nice listen.

The final two songs are longer. "The Most Beautiful Song" is quite a boast. The symphonic elements in the beginning come to an early crescendo followed by a crunchy riff and expansive sounds. Light keys can be heard in the background. The mid-section is both dark and promising, as shadows fade in and out...the heavens are in battle with the underworld. It ends with a powerful statement of melodies and hope. "Siksastakam" closes the EP. Solemn tones open the song, almost as if your fight rounded the half-way point, and you can see the finish line. The harmonized vocals reach out to you. The riff rolls in, laden with emotional qualities. The really develop the melodies in the final song, and the longing qualities come through strong.

This was a pretty enjoyable listening experience. The band showed some flashes of real quality here, and developed the melodies well. Although there were only four songs, I would like to hear a full-length from them in the future, and will earmark the band on Facebook. This album showed promise but was solid as it is.
