Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: PHLEBOTOMIZED; signed via Hammerheart Records, hailing from the Netherlands - performing Avant-garde Death/Doom Metal, on their 3rd album entitled: "Deformation Of Humanity" (released January 7th, 2019).

Since formation in 1990; the sextet in question have 3 albums in their discography so far, I am introduced to their 3rd album entitled: " Deformation Of Humanity". 11 tracks ranging at around 51:00; PHLEBOTOMIZED arrange an intricately designed formula of avant-garde, amalgams of Death/Doom Metal developments, "Premonition (Impending Doom" begins the record - conveying a 1:11 introduction in which demonstrates the borderline foundation for the rest of the record. "I'm scared." ...the beginning of deformed mutation, until the orchestral synth onslaught transforms the victim of changes with concretely harmonious hymns. "Chambre Ardente" brings conceptual elements, implementing inventively crafted creations of dynamically diverse chaos and meticulous mayhem - tremolo transistions too.

Consisting of Ben de Graff on vocals; the frontman consistently distributes guttural growls of robust ramifications, "Descend The Deviance" establishes diligently dominating and ethereal complexity - dextrously barraged with boistrously bouncy frenzies of flamboyantly fabricated distinctions of instrumental vehemence. Organizing versatile ultilities, variety and a relentless stampede of salubrious substances that thump with thunderously organic nimbleness. Guitar duo Tom Palms & Dennis Bolderman inject infectiously fluid persistancy of riffs and solos that blister with crunchy haste and adrenaline-fuelled finesse, converging gritty gnarliness while culminated with symphonic terror and solid slabs of rambunctiously riveting stomps of melodic Death/Doom Metal manifestations.

Songs like the OSDM (old-school Death Metal) "Eyes On The Prize" & "Desiteratum" showcase rapidly swift melancholy; overarching Death Metal pummelling from powerhouse drummer Alex Schollema & audible bassist André de Heus both attribute an adroit aesthetic of battering atmosphere infused Doom Metal deadliness, balanced with hammering hostility and flexible executions in which are prodegiously quintessential. Polished with progressively technical seamlessness, sonic speed and salubrious stability that specialises in primitive rampaging and skill. "My Dear,..." & "Proclamation Of A Terrified "Breed"" portray more keyboardist juxtapositions from Rob op 't Veld; efficiently contrast with excelling extremity, frolicking with galloping chugs and brutal coherence - distinguished with constructive maliciousness, savage and rushing weight that's remarkably meaty.

"Until The End" provides more rhythms of synthesized remedies; supplying subjugation of electrically elegant heaviness, instrumental twin-guitar tempos layered with lacerated ripping that roars with immense intensity - raspy pipes with slamming waves of wonderous polyrhythms and simultaneous results. The titular track represents similar characteristics; flaired with an arsenal of hybrid diligence, exemplified with eccentrically groundbreaking material that is unprecedentally unique in the most proficiently unparalled way. The penultimate track: "Until The End - Reprise" offers a trimmed version of the previous song; in a exquisitely fun and fulfilling way, until the overall concluding track "Ataraxia II" experiments with enjoyably entertaining composing, engineered with structured shifts of splendidly sinister machnications of musical maliciousness.

Bottom line; PHLEBOTOMIZED certainly outdone themselves here, and I discovered a band who delivered a pioneered success of songwriting originality and mesmerizing musicianship.

The band took 20 years for this dream of a comeback record, possessing timeless quality and a zestful amount of amplified craftsmanship that should stand toe and head with the current competition of 2019s Death/Doom Metal battle - if there is no challenging competitors, and I'm sure there will be - "Defomation Of Humanity" should be in every fan's collection of these sub-genres - phenomenal.<
