PERFECITIZEN formed from the ashes of ALIENATION MENTAL in 2010. Hailing from the Czech Republic, "Humanipulation" is the band's third full length album, and contains eight tracks. The title track leads off the album. It opens with a full on assault of the senses. Dubbed as "Blastcore/Deathgrind," you get heavy technical elements and total guttural vocal utterances. There is no chance of you figuring out what he is saying. The bass guitar, however, is audible and dancing, which is good. There are more pig squeals than at a pig kill facility.

"Blind Ignorance" opens with a bit of a swinging sound. But it turns dark pretty quickly. The guitars are all over the place, but there is an underlying structure...you have to work to find it. The female vocals are unexpected and seem out of place. The clean male vocals are also a bit tongue-in-cheek. "Misunderstanding" is a quick three minutes of about as much instrumentation as you could pack into a song. The guitars are dissonant and the vocals are well beyond rage. As is often the case in the genre, the drummer Jarda Haž is the real hero...being able to blast his way through anything, and with a variety of different beats and cymbal crashes.

"Propaganda" is a four-minute song. Guitar and bass dance for the opening sequence, then the drums and vocals come rolling in at the speed of light. From there I feel like someone just re-arranged my entire house in under five minutes. "Mental Obesity" features some odd clean male vocals in the opening, then the chaotic instruments are on full display, with more anger in the vocals than if someone killed your entire family and you found them alone and without a weapon. This is some odd music for sure. The "rapped" clean vocals around the half-way mark are totally outside the boundaries of the genre.

"Motivation" is a quick blast of super-chilled air on an otherwise warm and sunny day. It comes out of nowhere and knocks you down and then is gone as quick as it came. The rhythmic vocals around the half-way mark again seem out of place, but at this point in the album, I am suspecting these are just part of their stitch. "Injection" opens with harmonized clean vocals, but it's not long before the instruments and vocals go into rage mode and take over the song. Hell, the entire planet. The clean vocals are back in a rapping fashion around the half-way mark, and are then utterly buried by what comes next.

"Flashback = Hope" closes the album. It's three minutes of utter chaos, with heavy dissonance in the guitars, and reprehensible vocals. A clean vocal passage comes in around the half-way mark, but again is buried by the aftermath of the apocalypse. Overall, this was Metal in one of its brutalist forms. Vile, wicked and technical in nature, you have to at least respect the level of musicianship it takes to pull off these tight rhythms and their sense of being able to follow the structure of the songs, as well as the amount of hatred pushed here out into the open. It might too much for some people, but it's worth a spin in my opinion.
