Polish Death/Thrash Metal band PANDEMIC OUTBREAK hail from Gdansk, and were formed in 2014. They released two EP's, a studio and a live album before this one, "Torment Beyond Comprehension" came into the picture. And judging by what I hear on this album I feel it is time that I find out how good their older material really is. Because there can be no bones about that what PANDEMIC OUTBREAK has produced on "Torment Beyond Comprehension" is above reproach. If you don't get what I'm saying, simply put I can say that this is bloody good indeed!

The PANDEMIC OUTBREAK combination of Death and Thrash Metal on "Torment Beyond Comprehension" is slightly in favour of the latter, but the way that the band has been able to combine the two is just impressive. Yes, I know that this isn't exactly a new form or genre within the Metal scene, but if that is the case it is all about how the band portrays what they do to the public. Well, in the case of "Torment Beyond Comprehension" I have to say that PANDEMIC OUTBREAK has outdone themselves in a very positive and exciting way. The songs are mostly fast, furious and aggressive, but also with enough substance, energy, enthusiasm and structure that they never get the chance to sound dull or repetitive. Every single tune has its own identity, and due to the (almost) perfect production they are coming out your speakers in the liveliest manner. This makes you wonder how these guys can transfer these studio sounds to the live stage. If they can come close to what they do in the studio, they'll definitely be a riot.

"Torment Beyond Comprehension" is truly a gem of an album, and I don't care of you're not a Death Metal fan or Thrash metal afficionado per se, but I think that it is very important for every Metalhead to listen at least once to the whole "Torment Beyond Comprehension" album and find out if PANDEMIC OUTBREAK might be  a band that takes your fancy. Don't do it if you're a Melodic metal or Rock fan, because this will upset your styled hairdo and blow your eardrums to obliteration. So, if you like your Metal rough and ready, and you're not afraid to get lost in good music, take the plunge and listen to "Torment Beyond Comprehension". You might even go so far as to like this PANDEMIC OUTBREAK.
