"Anamnesis", a tribute to the great NEVERMORE by American Power Thrashers, PALADIN is out now and if you'd  like more about it before buying it this please do read on because we are about to dive in. Well, I could just go ahead and say this is awesome,  the end. I mean, we all know Jeff Loomis is a god, but we aren't here to talk about how talented NEVERMORE was, we are here to talk about how well PALADIN did covering it.

Track one, "The River Dragon Has Come" as many of us already know is a phenomenal song. PALADIN took on the formidable task of covering it and what an amazing job they did. This is a tribute, it has to played the same as NEVERMORE would, as opposed to taking it and making it their own. Taylor Washington hit the vocals right on, actually he seemed to be even a bit more edgy. Everything was perfect as far as I'm concerned. The artificial harmonics screamed with intensity through the main riff and the solo was simply sublime! Track 2 is "Final Product" in which they did an absolutely perfect job. Same with "42147". Honestly I can even say I like PALADIN'S Guitar tone even more then the originals. There's  not much more to say here, they wanted to make a tribute to NEVERMORE and they did a fantastic job with it. My only wish would be that they made a full album.

Well done PALADIN, this was a pleasure to listen to and review. I'll be looking forward to seeing what you have next for us. I wish you all the best and much success in your future endeavors.
