Metal maniacs, rejoice. I am proud to introduce to you the mighty ORIGIN; Technical Death Metal with speeds and intensities that will make anyone break chairs over others chairs! (a quote from YouTube metalhead star: KILLBOT & GORGOR ATTACK!! Had to steal it, as it's one of my favourite quotes - based on a video for the band in question... I couldn't resist). Anyway, signed via Nuclear Blast Records, performing Technical Death Metal - on their 8th full-length studio album entitled: "Chaosmos" (released June 3rd, 2022). Since formation in 1997; the quartet in question have an EP entitled: "A Coming Into Existence" (released June 1998), a compilation entitled: "Origin / Informis Infinitas Inhumanitas" (released December 7th, 2005), a split entitled: "Label Showcase - Nuclear Blast" (released January 17th, 2012), one more compilation: "Abiogenesis - A Coming Into Existence" (released May 3rd, 2019), and 8 full-length studio albums entitled: "Origin" (released July 11th, 2000), "Informis Infinitas Inhumanitas" (released June 11th, 2002), "Echoes Of Decimation" (released March 15th, 2005), "Antithesis" (released April 1st, 2008), "Entity" (released June 7th, 2011), "Omnipresent" (released July 4th, 2014), "Unparalleled Universe" (released June 30th, 2017), on top of this record entitled: "Chaosmos" of which I am introduced to. 8 tracks ranging around 44:24; ORIGIN arranges an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Technical Death Metal developments.

Immediately opening up with this blistering barrage frenzy of some trailblazing mayhem: "Ecophagy" wastes no time in bulldozing heads with some rampantly rompy blitzkrieg harmonies; the kind that belt a clobbering foundation in berserking havoc and amplified adrenaline, immensely forging a bludgeoning force in impactful impulses of spectral sturdiness - amongst a groove-bomb conundrum in boisterously bouncy flamboyancy that rips through you with sonically seamless precision. The titular track unleashes total pandemonium; trampling speakers with ruthless savagery & monstrously meaty viscerality, thudding rifts smother through you with wildly rushing distortion amongst a contorted grind in experimental hybrids that rivet with progressive technicality. Punchy weightness pierces through with steely finesse, implementing flexibly fundamental nimbleness & throttling madness revolving around a dexterously dynamic virtuosity on radically wicked quakes from consistent guitarist Paul Ryan.

"Cogito, Tamen Nom Sum" utilises unique yet versatile vehemence within a beefy malformation on rumbling reverberation tactics of striking pursuit; swifting rapidly with organic substance, stampeding melody and concretely gritty drum hammering batterings from John Longstreth. Slamming the set with pounding yet pummeling volatility; rambunctiously vicious piledrives ramifies with stompy jumpiness, crunchy calamity and fierce firepower expertise that thunder with otherworldly synergy while killer laceration mobilities unearth some slaying rhythms that remain rhythmic on top of engaging for good measure. "Panoptical" fires all cylinders into a towering tremolo of crescendo impulse emergency; injecting an infectiously chunky flicker in bass audibility from Mike Flores who thumps out some gnarly attributes in crafty yet slick skill, an all guns blazing ability shows no sign of slowing down, elementing a brutal sphere of complex instrumental chaos-mos that will marvel your souls with majestic clarity.

"Decolonizer" fabricates at some vibrantly potent snarls of scouring malice; where maniacal and diabolical fervor descegrates eardrums with monolithic tempo, followed by a menacing prowess on repugnant but grumbling songwriting musicianship qualities. Vocalist Jason Keyserb roars with throaty raspiness while soaring gutturals bleed extremely with shouty yells and barking perseverance, persistently raging with enraged insanity. A strong wave of tempestuous cave dwelling hooks grips a groovy shroud of relentless but hypnotising, headbanging smacks that showcase an addictive stridency to it in "Cullscape" adding an frantic lunacy for good sport where those hardened bombardments of volleying wrath induced chaos demands you to not give a fuck and cascade through with motivating supremacy. This was profound within the penultimate banger "Nostalgia For Oblivion", a bruising slab of solid aggression and immersively groundbreaking instrumental gravitation that transpires with just some neat methods on riffing yet pulverising density.

Overall concluding "Chaosmos" with the finale epic: "Heat Death"; an 11:48s spectacle of mystifying symbolism, severed with this swampy soundscape near the end as if flames of hell reigned remorselessly down and dissolved everything in sight. This record most definitely defines a narrated massacre within musical form, and conjures up some meticulous remedies of structure merged devastation. An enjoyably entertaining discovery should one fancy a diligently detailed mass of malevolently oppressed destruction in which will serve ear holes with pleasure in listening to.
