ONE is a Hard Rock band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada formed in 2005 and recorded three albums - "Never Say Never" in 2006, "Dirty Valentine" in 2009 and "Worlds Collide", originally released independently on 2012, which will be available again on April 2014 through Pavement Entertainment.
Catchy riffs of Rock 'N' Roll coming down hard on "Queen of Rock N' Roll" resulting in a very memorable, thick with Bluess, and classic 80's echoes. "Dirty Little Secret" issues the mix of both American and British Hard Rock with groovy melodies and a MOTORHEAD influence in the singing. Early NICKELBACK sprites, especially in the riffing, are bestowed within "She's Bad", displaying heavy riffery of a modern origins with an enticing melody. I found a stronger vocal similarity to HOOBASTANK, STAIND and AUDIOSLAVE within "Tomorrow's Not Too Late", truly inspiring and the high point of the song. "I Want You to Know", the sweaty balladry, carving with acoustic riffs and Country driven direction with snit of Grunge al'a SOUNGARDEN. Bluesy and Hard Rock riffs in the spirit of WHITESNAKE flash on "Livin' a Lie", neatly done and a well arrange tune. The ballad "Never Live for Yesterday" is the path to commercialism, with CREED influences. Furthermore, there is the potential radio hit "Days Gone By" with sharp momentum of BON JOVI, THE CALLING or SUNRISE AVENUE. Worth also to listening is also the energetic "We Are One" with diverse pace and THE RAMONES influences. The cover of JOHNNY CASH's "Folsom Prison Blues" is quite interesting, ONE's version has an amazing Country climate with soaring vocals, crispy riffery and a heck of a rhythm section.
ONE's musical perception came out quite intriguing making this release a sort of a miscellaneous echelon of Rock.
