OHRENFEINDT hails from Germany. After two years, they are back with "Auf Die Fresse Ist Umsonst", which brings well known sound of hard, blues-based guitar riffs, driving drums and rough vocals of Chris Laut. The album is made in good old tradition of AC/DC, LED ZEPPELIN and DEEP PURPLE. All songs are in German, and deal with real life stories.
Production of album proved to be more difficult this time around for OHRENFEINDT. Longtime band members Dennis Henning and Flash Ostrock left the band in pursuite of something different. For this studio recording several well known artists were commited. The drums were played by Stefan Lehmann of TORFROCK, most guitars are played by Henning Wolter from NITROGODS with additional slide guitars of Mickey Van Wolfen from VAN WOLFEN, and guitar sollos by Jörg Sander from PANIC ORCHESTRA.
Within great old school Hard Rock tracks, you may find amazing ballads like "Königin der Nacht", "Durch die Nacht", incredible insturmental "Prinzessin", and "Prokrastinations Blues" that is what it`s title states, blues in it`s best form. First part of the album is more old school Hard Rock, while the second part walks on the Blues side. But either way, it well combined that you don`t really feel when the Hard Rock beats turned into not so soft Blues.
Overall it`s good album. One thing it misses you can easily add. That`s couple of beers and some good company.
