Sometimes you Old Daddy here thinks that Mr. Deaddie and Mr. Steinmetal really loves me a lot, for as I really like a lot to write about new bands, for I strongly believe that the future is theirs. And NIVLHEL's debut, "Nivlhel", is something between the excellent and sublime.

It's two man band, coming from Sweden, following the model of Swedish more melodic Black Metal like bands as DISSECTION and LORD BELIAL, but don't get the wrong idea: they're pretty good, having a strong work with personality. Excellent vocals (the harsh and clean are both very fine), a guitar work very strong and massive, and good drums and bass basis. Obviously my words can't describe entirely what you'll hear, so give them a chance and hear for yourselves.

Good sound production that can make the band's Black Metal sound flux clean and heavy as it must be, but without tearing apart the Black Metal feeling, so don't be disturbed.

Best moments: "Vrede I" and it's bold and heavy complex riffs and vocals, the morbid and darkened melodic "Vrede X" (a middle paced song, so drums and bass really show a good work here), "Vrede II" (another paced song, with an astonishing vocal's duty, specially the clean ones), and "Vrede VII".

Very, very good breakthrough!
