From their Facebook page, "Since 2012, NERO DI MARTE have been devoted towards creating experimental yet heavy music contaminated by Prog, Death Metal, Psychedelia and Contemporary Classical music. The dissolution of these different influences creates a space in which dissonance, melody, claustrophobic and dreamlike atmospheres become instinctively juxtaposed." "Immoto" is the band's fourth studio offering, and contains seven tracks.

"Sisyphos" leads off the album. It opens with hushed tones and some odd guitars with some dissonance. From there the dissonance is dialed up several notches and it sounds chaotic. It builds into a crescendo with drums ablaze. The structure is such that it is hard to qualify as a song. "L'Arca" has a little more structure but the drums and guitars carry much of the heavy, weighted sound, complete with vocal screams. "Immoto" is the longest on the album, at close to 13 minutes in length. I really have no idea what I am listening to here. It's the oddest sound I believe I have ever heard. There is no melody, just dissonant guitars that are disconnected from the vocals.

"Semicerchi" features some minimal instrumentation and vocals...it builds along the way but is heavy in discord. So far on the album, I am not picking up any Contemporary Classic musical influence, nor much in the way of Progressive music. "La Casa del Diavolo" brings more of the same...weird guitar notes and some Psychedelic sounds. This time a guitar riff is established, though again there is a disconnect with the vocals. I am completely unsure what the band is trying to get across here. "Irradia" opens with soft bass guitar notes and some atmosphere. It builds into some heavy accents and odd vocal wails. It waxes and wanes, between sound and lack thereof.

"La Fuga" closes the album, at under five minutes in length. It's noise at its best. I have reviewed thousands of albums and this is perhaps the strangest that I have ever heard. Pretentious? Maybe...but fucking weird for sure. I can't imagine their fan based, or that they are signed to a major record label, but don't waste your time here unless you are in the mood for mindless noise. That is all I can come up with to describe the album.
