Mytile Vey Lorth - Disillusion album cover

Imagine two parallel straight lines, one representing death metal and the other black metal. MYTILE VEY LORTH, then, are in another one standing right in the middle of these two. The band started before eight years; these Australians didn't begin with this sound. They were into doom/ black metal with keyboards and female vocals. During 2002 they released their first step titled MYTILE VEY LORTH and two years later they unleash this promo effort.
Their music has an unorthodox base. You can find a lot of riffs and changes into their songs, like OPETH or AKERCOCKE but not with so much complication. Most of their ideas are very good but in my opinion their structures could be different. If you listen to this CD more and more you'll be familiarized with the whole riffology and then their 'face' becomes more clear.
Much of impression was their drummer. His playing is like he was bitten by a demon-ized bee just ten seconds before he starts the recordings!
As their bio states, they have given numerous live performances and this is obvious to their sound and their songs. Nice band, nice work.
