From Dusk Till Dawn

I'm always amazed by new and young talent these days, as these bands can rock just as hard as the more experienced bigger names and have some fun while making great music. I've already reviewed one album by a young band this year who were German rockers REBELLIOUS SPIRIT and now I've been presented with the new album by a young Australian band called MYSTERY, which I will be giving a spin and reviewing.
MYSTERY have only been around for a few years, since 2010, and already they have some incredible achievements under their belt. The first is that they are the world's youngest band to have toured the globe as they have played shows in Europe, the USA and Japan, to name but a few, which is remarkable when you consider that they are still in their teens. A second incredible statistic is that this young Aussie quintet have toured and played with some HUGE names including IRON MAIDEN, MEGADETH, MOTLEY CRUE, MOTORHEAD, GUNS N' ROSES and TWISTED SISTER, to name but a few. If you've played with big names like that, then it's clear they see something good in you and it's clear they like your music but the question is, do I like them? Let us find out.
The new album which is called "From Dusk Till Dawn" is what you'd expect from a young Rock band as upon first listens, it does sound very peppy and upbeat in places, but for the most part, this band are all about rocking out and having fun, which is important to do when you are young. I do like what I hear from this band as this is quite a fun album to listen to, but then when it's written by one of the world's youngest bands who have a lot of incredible stats under their belt, you expect it to be good and enjoyable which it is.
I think what makes this such a good album is that it's very peppy and upbeat as I mentioned before but as I also mentioned, this band are all about rocking out and having fun and that is present in the lyrics with songs like the title track "Dusk Till Dawn" and "Wild and Free" among a couple of others.
There are a couple of moments when the music does slow down a bit, most notably "The One and Only" and "Living on the Road", but even when it does it's still very enjoyable as the pace may be a bit slower then the rest of the album but it's still very enjoyable energetic Rock and Roll.
As well as the 10 originals on this record, we also get two covers which close off the album and these covers include "I'm A Rocker" by Heavy Metal giants JUDAS PRIEST and "Run to Paradise" by THE CHOIRBOYS, who were a band from the 1980's, and although I've not heard the original versions, I do enjoy these covers and would I probably choose them over the originals.
Verdict time now and I have to say I was hugely impressed with this new album from MYSTERY, as their youthful and energetic music does seem to remind me of the band REBELLIOUS SPIRIT and their music. I have seen their name pop up a few times in a few Facebook groups but I've never checked them out before until I got this promo and I wish I'd discovered them sooner as this is very enjoyable and energetic Rock and Roll and it's the type of music that you can play at parties and get everyone onto the dance-floor as they will not be able to resist the catchy energetic melodies.<
