Morgan Wick - The Great Stereopticon album cover

Metal maniacs, rejoice. I am proud to present to you: MORGAN WICK; independently unsigned, hailing from the United States of America - performing Progressive Metal, on the debut EP entitled: "The Great Stereopticon" (released May 20th, 2022). Since formation in 2017 as MORGAN WICK; the trio in question have only a full-length studio album entitled: "The Ascent" (released December 1st, 2017), and this debut EP entitled: "The Great Stereopticon" of which I am introduced. (released May 20th, 2022) - on top of THE PROG SCHOOL manifesto, a class of Prog which needs no introduction... MORGAN WICK has dedicated 14 years of his life to the Prog sub-genre at play - expect a professional performance of meticulous musical prowess. 2 songs that range around 15 minutes; the band in question arranges an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Prog Metal developments.

Opening up with this synthetic remedy of technical prog mayhem; some rampantly rompy thuds of sturdy frenzies barrages eardrum with this hypnotic element in boisterously bouncy hybrids in experimental rumbles of reverberating tempo mobility, "Broken Epistemology" revels with rollicking gallops and frolicking chugs from Morgan Wick himself. A catchy but chunky conundrum compiles a harmonic density in drony substance & organic ramification, soaring vocals within CJ Jenkins range from clean but high-pitched throatiness towards some raspy gutturals amongst a ethereal euphony where an 8-Bit shroud of static intertwines itself with the prodigious volatility of zealous tremolo manifestations that pursuit with vibrantly potent shreds to boot. A dexterously dynamic impact impulses creatively with rapidly swift nimbleness & sonically seamless tremoring qualities that tenors with fierce firepower expertise amongst a bizarre but complex virtuosity that quintessentially rivets with towering crescendos, amplified adrenaline and an infectious injection of some venomously sulfurous bass audibility that revs up with piercing panache profusely.

Robust characteristics demonstrates thumpy stompiness with steely yet robust precision, relished with rambunctious piledriving and drum hammering smacks that pummel with tight weightiness to boot from Esteban Roybal. The overall concluding banger belts a clobbering synergy of solid slabbiness & stability within the titular track: "The Great Stereopticon", without a doubt MORGAN WICK most certainly delivered a healthy dose of some immersively distinguished Prog Metal versatilities which utilizes vehement structures of flamboyant foundations in borderline but flexible fundamentals that transpires with radically wicked tonalities in an utmost jazzy but classy and rocking performance. A short offering, yet one to keep speakers transfixed until the full-length comes out, should you desire it. Worthy of listening to should you need some Prog Metal within your life, an enjoyably entertaining discovery that should be listened to & spun with re-playable suave. Do check it out! Nearly masterful stuff right here and I'll definitely look forward to the next release! Nice work, Morgan.
