Mexican Death Metal quartet are back once again with their 6 track intense EP "Disgorged In The Coffin". The short sharp and punchy EP runs at approximately 21 minutes delivering blow after blow of brutal Death Metal. The artwork for the EP is fairly standard for the genre, but there is still a lot going on there and it'd fit into anyone's library quite nicely.

Opening the record is the titular "Disgorged In The Coffin" spoken word introduces before an unholy amount of fucking electricity, intensity and aggression. But what stole the show was that disgusting wailing guitar. It is a breathless introduction the album that just batters away at your aural defences with a never ending stream of badass Death Metal. I am infatuated and I cannot wait to see what is to come next. "Rupturing Into Madness" does not take its foot off the gas. With a rough and ready drumline introducing the track, the musical layers building over the top. With the heavy riffs and running guitars building a stalwart musical foundation to the track it is just simply over a little bit too soon!

As we come to the middle third of the EP I am aquiver with anticipation for what is to come next. "Grinded For The Carnage" comes in a bit more dirty, a bit sludgier and I just feel myself finding a bit of groove to the track. Even as it speeds up and becomes more of a traditional Death Metal track there is just this really cool undertone that hits all the right notes for me. "Dungeon Of Vermin" is just an out and out Death Metal slap straight across the chops. But, being the sadist that I am I absolutely love it! Blow after blow of hard hitting and aggressive musical tracking just rains down on you until you say 'no more, no more I can't take anymore... Actually, wait maybe a little more'.

"The Maniacal" starts with a spoken word tracking, seemingly around the infamous maniacal (heeeey see what I did there?!) Joker, as portrayed by Heath Ledger. Before just launching once again into some of the most comprehensive, aggressive and fantastic Death Metal that I have heard for some time. I'm going to leave "Angel Of Disembowelment" as I like to leave a little surprise for you all.

Overall, this is a fantastic release, the musicality is simply superb. The record is almost and I mean so very very very nearly perfect for me. There was a slight mixing issue for me which marred the listening a little bit (for reference I would say the drums needing toning back slightly just to allow the rest of the tracking to be a bit clearer), however I also appreciate that this may have been a desired effect. But seriously, to all at MORBID MESSIAH my hear felt congratulations for this release.
