Blasphemous Rhapsody
Miles To Perdition
And another band mixing Melodic Death Metal with Metalcore aspects comes to us. From Luxembourg, comes MILES TO PERDITION, a good quintet with the responsibility to bleed our ears with their first album, "Blasphemous Rhapsody" (after an EP, "Vengeance"). And if you don't take care, for sure they will.
This mix is nothing that was never done before, but the band got some very good results, with a more technical approach, but keeping the brutality. This is the way they get different from another bands, but they still have a way to go and evolve. But this is good, showing that these guys have a lot of to offer.
A clear and dry production awaits our ears, so this makes all instruments sound clear and with quality, all in their due places. And a fine cover gives embodiment to their work.
Their finest moments: "Pray to Destroy" (where the guitars shows a fine work, besides this song can seems a lot with many bands from the style we saw before), the climatic and full of variations "In Defiance of Defeat" (great vocals presence, using more the high pitches vocals than low tunes), the melodic "Slave Nation", and the harsh "Blasphemous Rhapsody".
I hope the future of them will be great, for their present is very good.
