Michael Schenker is a very well know German guitarist in the Rock & Metal scene. He has been known from his works in UFO, early SCORPIONS and his solo band. "Blood Of The Sun" is a compilation with a tribute to some of the greatest Rock songs ever created and was  released  by  Collectors  Dream Records. On the album one would be listening such artists as Sebastian Bach (ex-SKID ROW), Tommy Shaw (STYX) and Robin McAuley (THE MCAULEY-SCHENKER GROUP) and also members from JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH and Ozzy Osbourne.

Perfect rhythm section & amazing quality of Schenker's guitaring could be traced on "Out In The Fields", especially the soloing that is magnetic, these made this cover special and played very well, vocalist Gary Barden sounds fabulous with the choir on the chorus. "Doctor Doctor" felt similar to the original version but with the killer vocals of Jeff Scott Soto. The song shared extra melodic heavier riffs, melody, spirit of 80's rather than the 70's vibe of the original, perfect vocals & guitar riffs of Schenker amassed the perfect mix that I adore so much. Impressive opening solo on "Save Yourself" is an amazing triumph for this powerful track hurdling a feeling of the 80's along with the melodic singing by Robin McAuley. "Blood Of The Sun" rallies the same qualities of guitar wizardry, but with Leslie West at the front for further enrichment. "Money", a cover of PINK FLOYD, was more than just appealing, the crew made textbook work for it along with Schenker's special guitar treatment conjuring the wills of the saxophone. "Finding My Way" is totally excellent with Sebastian Bach screeching at the helm. Also quite profound is "Politician" sailing with fine bass work and tremendous solos. "I'm Not Talking" and "All Shook Up" drifted on Rock N' Roll, slipping the Metal taste for the good of a Rocking Blues and Country mystique.

This is necessary purchase for fans of Michael Schenker, Hard Rock of 70's and 80's with enough crunchy Metal and heavier riffs. Furthermore, this is also a fantastic journey to discover new beauty of covers of legendary Rock tracks following Michael Schenker's astonishing career.
