From France, comes Black Metal band MEYHNACH. Formed in 2017, the band is back with a second opus called "Miseria de profundis," a full-length piece of black metal with some weird elements. The album contains the seven prophecies of a visionary digging into the depths of human misery. Miseria de profundis, lamentum in fine saeculi predicts the world's downfall through the eyes of a mad man that travels through feelings like paranoia, pandemics, terrorism and other faces of evil of the 3rd millennium. The album contains seven tracks.

"Virus" leads off the album. It opens with dissonant guitars and pretty bad production. The treble is turned up the whole way while the bass is virtually nonexistent. The music sounds very elementary. "To Exterminate the World" isn't much better. The length of these first two songs is completely unnecessary, other than to drag out a pretty awful album. The vocals aren't helping much either. "Into the Weird" is a shorter song that begins with some meaty bass tones. As the drums enter, so does a dissonant riff. Amateur...the song sound completely amateur.

"Grim Omen" begins with a flat and uninventive riff and a slower, grinding sound. The vocals are essentially wails from someone who clearly isn't enjoying life at all. "Relapse" opens with ominous piano notes and a bit of a different sound. The repeated pattern is akin to the footsteps of Leatherface coming to chainsaw you in half. The vocals draw out with a harrowing feeling. "In Search of Wasted Time" draws out like a beast lumbering over miles and miles of frozen wasteland, never finding civilization. The sound here is at least somewhat interesting and different than previous tracks, that is, until the main riff enters.

"Tentacles of Anguish" closes the album. It begins with more dissonant tones and a reminder of how awful the production is. The vocals are anguished, and a hopeless feeling creeps in. Overall, this album was pretty bad, though not quite as bad as others I have heard. The production might be the worst part, but the music isn't much better. I scratch my head as who the intended audience is for this kind of hopeless sound, and I hope that I never find out, in fact.
