Recursive

Here's a really taken care of piece of work by a very interesting band with sadly a terrible name! Does the name Methedras bring in mind a rare goat cheese from the Andalusian mountains or what? Ok, I'm kidding but the name really is terrible. At least the only terrible thing in this release is the band's name.
The band was formed back in 1996 as a cover act (how profound) but eventually original material was composed. The outcome can be found in an EP, Cost of Life, and a couple of Demos that were released between 1999 and 2001. Many live shows followed, opening for bands such as Entombed and Dismember (just to name a couple). After almost ten years of life (or death if you prefer) passed and Recursive is the latest offering from this band.
Ok, so this is old school Thrash / Death, often getting too noisy and trust me: daddy likes noisy Death / Thrash (oh yeah, baby). Listening to the album I felt the energy and aggressiveness deriving from the compositions included. The production could have been better but definitely never manages to steal the energy the genre demands. To add more flavor the band has also included two live clips from their appearance at W.O.A. 2004.
So if you're looking for old school (and I do mean old school), you must definitely invest in these guys. In fact the band has already prepared a brand new piece of work that I am looking forward to investigating as well.
