The Death Metal kings KRISIUN are back at it again with their eleventh full length album "Scourge of the Enthroned". The band formed in 1990 out of Brazil and released their first demo "The Plague" in 1992. The Brazilian Trio have been releasing some of the greatest and most aggressive Death Metal for going on near thirty years. My favorite of the eleven albums has been "Southern Storm" but this album may have to change my mind about that. The Brothers realized after 2015's  album "Forged in Fury" that they had maybe strayed away from what KRISIUN was all about. The band sticks by what they have written and so do I. But this newest album brings back what I have always loved about KRISIUN. "Scourge of the Enthroned" is a complete and utter magnificent presentation of Death Metal.

Lets start at the beginning of Alex, Max and Moyses's own version of Dante's Inferno. First up we have the self titled track "Scourge of the Enthroned". This song immediately brings me back to the KRISIUN I have always loved. The insane drum work done by Max to the absolutely decimating guitar work from Moyses and Alex's vocals and bass work. The intense in your face brutality of this will just bring you home to your roots when it comes to Death Metal. "Demonic III" really gives off that old school KRISIUN feel we have all come to love. I don't know whether to head bang or roll my eyes all the way back into my head and call a young and old priest to perform an exorcism on me.

"Devouring Faith" is up at number three on this eight track album and obviously it foes not disappoint. It just keeps building and building until BOOM a sick solo comes out of nowhere. This song really reminds me of their song "Slaying Steel". And this is going straight into my favorite current songs. "Slay the Prophet" is the fourth track and I am sad knowing we are half way through this amazing album. But the lack in length is made up by how intense this album is. I know they were working through some supposed kinks in their direction, but my own personal belief is they were just holding back and teasing us. They haven't missed a step in their twenty eight year history.

Now we have "A Thousand Graves" which to the untrained ear may be too intense. But to us true Metalheads is a fucking masterpiece. If you have ever wanted to feel like a freight train ran into your guts and then made it feel OK by giving you an ear massage, this is the track for you. This whole album is just every type of aggression I need when I go about my day to day activities. "Electricide" is in at track six... But I have a question for you... Have you ever wanted to just bash your head straight through a brick wall? For no reason what so ever? First off please don't do it... Secondly, this song made me want to and in the best way possible. God damn! This song is so good it will make you want to slap someone so hard their ancestors would feel it.

The song "Abysmal Misery(Foretold Destiny)" refuses to let up long enough to give us a breather. And that is one thing I have always appreciated from KRISIUN, no you are not allowed a break... No we will not show you mercy... You will listen and you will love it. "Whirlwind of Immortality" is the final song on "Scourge of the Enthroned". From start to finish they have done it once again... My ears are bleeding. I cannot reasonably put into words how amazing this album is. KRISIUN is back and they are not going anywhere. Their name shall be etched into the Metal wall of the end all be all bands. I have been and will always be a fan.
