Krater - Venenare album cover

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: KRATER; signed via Eisenwald Records, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Black Metal, on their 4th album entitled: "Venenare" (released November 15th, 2019).

Since formation in 2003; the quintet in question have 2 Demos, 2 Splits & 4 albums in their discography so far. I am introduced to their 4th album entitled: "Venenare", 9 tracks ranging at around 49:16 - KRATER arrange an intricately designed formula of heavy-hitting Black Metal developments. The cryptic; cosmic downpour effects of "Eruption" initiates the record, advancing into "Prayer For Demise" as it conveys amplified barrages of extreme noise terror. Distributing atmospheric distortion; excelled into a hardened calamity of boistously bouncy hymns, crunchy flamboyancy & a frantic frenzy of harrowing ambiency. Establishing fluidly polished rhythms, relentlessly vehement virtuosity & versatile yet quintessential pursuits of momentously primitive ultilizations that fabricate fierce firepower with low-string tremelos while slightly showcasing progressively raw ramifications.

Consisting of Abortio on vocals/bass; the frontman constructs a diligently detailed attribute of gnarly, high-pitched yells that venomously spits out throaty snarls with raspy savagery, while revolved with monstrously meaty bass audibility that's quite thumpy as it pulsates with meticulously thick manifestations. "Zwischen den Worten" comes into play next; supplying ringing arpeggios as it builds into an infectiously galloping injection of chaotic frolicking, injecting an embodiment of blasphemous instrumentation & melodic malevolence. Lead guitar duo 3E.3 & Z.K. both embellish on blistering experimentation; complex dexterity, and dynamically hasty fretwork that thunderously portrays rapidly swift nimbleness with organically solid substance.

Especially in the resonant song "Stellar Sparks", the mighty perseverence of "When Thousand Hearts" which pierces with rip-roaring shreds & sonically seamless solos - the profusely robust musicianship of the band adroitly composes conceptual immersivity with the majestic mayhem they represent. A borderline foundation of jarring jumpiness, vicious speed & moody vibes.

Ibbur also on guitars crafts distinctively distinguished harmonies; converging hostile melodies with thrashy progressions, morphing into a grandure of blackened grit. "Atmet Asche" excels into a lacerating lament of nihilistic Songwriting rambunctious powerhouse drumming from Shardik, and creative hammering bruises eardrums with stampeding slamming while striking with stompy precision. "No Place For You" is a dissonant attack of bludgeoning cords; crisp guitars, rumbling malice & bleeding implementations of unsettling punishments. Crushing forebodes of overarching surges that pulverize with razor-sharp skill. Black Metal is indeed a required taste, yet KRATER so far indefinitely flair into an enjoyably captivating experience. If I had an opinion; the band have delivered an enrichingly consistent slab of uniquely unprecedented sound production professionalism, that's remarkably worthy for every metalhead.

"Darvaza Breeds" is a 10:59 finale; opening with ritualistic chants, and more standout weightiness that pounds with vigourously potent vibrancy. Ruthlessly raging with rampent pandemonium, while quaking with volatile yet ominous walls of noisy retribution. I find personally that KRATER perfectly transistioned with rich stability, sinister velocity & systematic varieties. Overall concluding "Venenare" with the outro "Wasted Carbon"; I discovered a brilliant artist and who most certainly earned themselves a new fan...it is Black Metal at its finest, full of finesse and catchfully demonic characteristics make this a must listen. I also found that there's a slight twist with the sub-genre, as it enforces hints of Death Metal here and there. Wanting a dark find? Definitely check them out.
