Jungle Rot's first assault was in 1995 with their demo 'Skin The Living'. With this strategic move they showed the underground scene that they were not going to rip-off either Suffocation nor Cannibal Corpse like the 85% of the Death/Grind bands, but they focused on groovy and catchy death metal with influences from Thrash like Sodom and Slayer.

The band recorded their 1st full album 'Slaughter The Weak' in 1998 continuing to be as plain as they could have been. I guess that 'Technical Stuff' was not in their blood. After the EP 'Darkness Foretold' they strike back with 'Dead And Buried'. This album is neat. The sound is very balanced with rhythmic and powerful drums, catchy and massive guitars and 2 dry and brutal voices adding more to the rhythm. Their music could be described as a straightforward fist in your face; crushing your scull with aggressive power. At least this is what I think of it.

In any case this album is a plain and groovy death metal recording but still remaining in the category of 'Extreme Music'. I think that Jungle Rot might not be quite old in the scene, but their effort will bring them on the top one of these days...
