Since the coming back from Glam Metal (or Californian Hard Rock from the 80's, as you're pleased with), many bands appeared and show their music in the favorable moment. One of them is from the quintet JOHN DIVA & THE ROCKETS OF LOVE, who became a success on German Parades with their debut album "Mama Said Rock is Dead", but they're back for a second assault with "American Amadeus".

Their musical work is a form of 80's Glam Metal/Hard Rock with clear influences from MÖTLEY CRÜE, BON JOVI, RATT and many others on such way. But their music shows personality, and is built with very good and accessible melodies, catchy strong choruses, and all those old and good clichés from the genre that they breathe some new life on it, and what a nasty and catchy energy that flows from this album!

The production was done in a way to make things clean and loud, but with that nasty and ferine touch that this specific musical genre bears. But the choice for the instrumental tunes is for the most simple and easy that could be found, without endless (and boring) digital editions. This is the reason for such energy of the songs (but in a modern and clean way that even a dummy can understand).

12 powerful and hooking songs are shown on "American Amadeus", but the amazing nasty melodies of "Voodoo, Sex & Vampires" (very good guitar riffs), the down-tempos of the bone crusher called "American Amadeus" (that shows a solid and heavy work on bass guitar and drums), the energetic grasp of "Soldier of Love" (the vocals are very good, a blend between Vince Neil and David Lee Roth) and "Bling Bling Marilyn", the commercial appeal of "Weekend for a Lifetime" (a song that could easily become a hit on radios in the 80's), the Country/Bluesy touch on "Movin' Back to Paradise", and the charming melodic appeal of "This is Rock 'n' Roll" are the best for an introduction for these savage womanizers.

Well, maybe "American Amadeus" can be even better on the charts, but one thing can't be denied: JOHN DIVA & THE ROCKETS OF LOVE is a name to mark, and keep tour women and daughters far from them!
