Isegrim started out as a solo project in 1998 and in January 1999 a debut mini CD was released which received various reviews and created a strong interest for a full length album among press and listeners. Now as a whole band, Isegrim have released their first full length album, Dominus Infernus Ushanas.
Isegrim play fast, heavy Black Metal, contrary to the current almost dogmatic trend. There are no gothic or similar influences in Dominus Infernus Ushanas which might be their musical aim. The band concentrates on an aggressive musical background and works only with the traditional ingredients of heavy and fast guitar Metal. As aggressive as the music of Isegrim is, so are the lyrical contents, which are based on the singer's black antichristian body of thought.
To tell you the truth, I couldn't find any negative things about the CD. I went mad listening to it, it's a fucking great job these guys from Germany did!!!
All the elements mentioned sum up in pure, hard Black Metal, which tends to become under-represented around the world. If you like the kind, dont miss it!
