Metal maniacs, rejoice! The Thrasher returns to present to you; INNER BLAST, hailing from Portugal – signed via Nordavind Records...performing Gothic Metal, on their 1st debut album entitled: "Prophecy".

So what can we expect from INNER BLAST's debut album? "Prophecy" is a famine-fronted thriller with many multiple twists and turns that make it such an intriguing listen. It unites the influence of a Gothic atmosphere with some of the most heaviest instrumentation, giving that extra edge of powerful complexion. Here, I won't be comparing with LACUNA COIL or other possible influences as I've yet to fully experiment them for myself; so I can't have an opinion on that. However, this is a quintet who has a distinctive pattern for themselves that make them undeniably interesting. From a wide array of vocal indifferences; to scorching riffery that enriches to a bluesm-esquire differentiate, amalgamating the elementary force of classical vibes that are set into motion for the rest of the album. I honestly wouldn't have discovered this quartet if it wasn't for Metal Temple so - time to dive into this stratospheric blast of a record!

Some unique talents here, including Luis on bass and Sabu on drums, who implements a pummeling, yet destructive execution of blast beats of heavy riffery, which excels at some quality musicianship here. Aquiles "Quinito" on guitars represents heavy yet classical riffs; while typical for this Gothic outfit, they fit the nature of this production. Monica on keyboards amplifies the atmosphere even more so, and yet the female-fronted aptitude of Liliana vocalizing and utilizes some very impressive guttural growls here and there, with the majority being clean vocals...all is a nice mix for that enjoyable yet unprecedented experience. The band in question try their best to uniquely compile their instrumentality with what they can use in sub-genre sense...there is nothing exquisitely extreme to behold; I am however enjoying this solid slab of hard Metal. Orchestral elements and hard Metal best describe INNER BLAST. "Prophecy" definitely feels conceptual...

...9 conceptual tracks compile a fascinating story of realism and fiction; songs like "Private Nation", "Insane" and "Darkest Hour" showcase each member's inner strength that executes some very awe-inspiring moments. The vocalist Liliana especially; sequentially explores a gorgeous vocal pattern that one can't help but admire. "Feel The Storm", "Tears", and "Legacy" especially construct this gloriousness. The bluesy feel of the instrumentation works really well with the admiration and construction of the musicianship. My only critique is that the structure feels slow but evidently can make a great concept of slow and fast intrigues, however. "Inner Fire", "Time Machine" and "Wings Of Freedom" end the album in a dramatic finish. I have to commend Liliana for having such enchanting vocals and the rest of the band for "Prophecy". It is certainly an album that INNER BLAST should be proud of.<
