Even though the band INCURSION was formed in 1982 and launched their first demo back on the year of 1984, the band seems to have gone through a hiatus between their creation until returning work with an EP and a single in 2020 and 202 respectively. "Blinding Force" released thru No Remorse Records finally arrives to final show everything that musicians was preparing for all those years. Regarding the mixing and mastering they are average, I think mostly the drums could have a little more attention, sometimes it kind vanish for being too low, the album cover is ok. About the genre the band bounds their entire work to a very classic Heavy metal from 70-80's, being similar to bands like Judas Priest.
The opener of the nine tracks "Blinding Force", carries the album name showing how the band wants to work on a safe path. The song has a heavy and strong intro leaded by the guitars, and after a short time we are introduce to Samson's amazing vocals, straight to the point, it brings few direction changes. "Vengeance" is brutal and fast, also working always at the same pace and carries long instrument passages. "Running Out" is one of the highlights of the album for me, has a great chorus, a flashy vocal game, a beautiful melody, here everything seems to be in perfect harmony, and may well be a classic if released the right era.
"The Sentinel" step at break, leading us to a more a reflexing moment even if you don't miss your heavy content mainly on guitars. "Master of Evil" reminds me my first days loving metal and carries some of MOTORHEAD soul in it. Not going to lie but "Strike Down" kind of disappointed me with his "oOoOo" in his intro, maybe it's the band making room for some live stuff, but... fortunately after a great bass solo and entrance of leads guitars ala Iron Maiden, things got way better. "Riot Act" is the chosen to end up the band debuts and represent nothing less we heard before, speed and heavy guitars, and a crude and clean classical Heavy Metal, recommended for all fans of the genre.
