Seek For Salvation

You know that I have some kind of problem with Italian bands, since the time I got about 10 promos from Italy to review. And most of them were awful. Seeing one more Italian band, from a label I already know (and I don't have the best opinion about its bands), which features 7 musicians was not the best that could happen to me. Thank god, these guys showed that Italy has some hidden gems; it just needs time and a lot of search to find them.
What I found about HYRA is that they are considered to be a Death Metal band. Well, not exactly. The Italian band is actually something close to what SLIPKNOT did in Iowa. A bit less commercial, a bit more brutal though... Relentless Death Metal outbreaks filled with a great dose of modern Metal and catchy riffing, with the two singers giving their best to keep the balance between the sickness and the more modern approach. Actually their vocals are what gives the music a more violent tone, a more Metal one. Their experimentation and definitely interesting effort could be also compared to GOREROTTED, not only because of the use of two singers, but also because they incorporate a variety of sounds in their music. Mid tempo catchy breaks, aggressive outbreaks and some SLIPKNOT meets MUDVAYNE slap bass lines are only a few of the elements that make HYRA a band to watch out for in the near future.
I am damn sure that if they were in a big label and had some more money to invest in improving their sound, many people would be talking about them now.
