Üdv A Világomban

Heartkiller

I have to conclude that musically HEARTKILLER have their ducks in a row. And even though you aren’t able to understand one word that is being sung, this does sound good. You don’t have to worry about bad pronunciation or dictation. Instead, you just get to enjoy the atmosphere and character that the voices used and instruments played are expelling through your speakers.

HEARTKILLER is band from Debrecen in Hungary, a country that somehow doesn’t arise too often as the origin of many a Heavy Metal band. They play Thrash Metal mixed with Melodic Death Metal. What I like most about what HEARTKILLER does, is that they are not afraid to use Melodic Rock and Metalcore elements in their music, making them a very contemporary sounding band. Not only that, they e band is able to use those influences in just the right instances, and in the right way as well. And if you are wondering what those titles on “Üdv A Világomban” are all saying, I’m not in a position where I could tell you, as it is in their native tongue of Hungarian, which is not one of my strong languages. The title of the album in English would be “Welcome To My World”. One thing this album does do is prove my point on that when bands that are not fluent in English they should really sing in their native tongue, as it allows them to express their emotions in the best way possible.

It might surprise you to find out that I was not known with the band HEARTKILLER before listening to “Üdv A Világomban”. On the other hand, when you are someone who regularly reads my reviews on the Metal Temple it will not be anything new, as it regularly happens to me. Although the band has been making music since 2011, what they have released before this, in fact their debut album, are three EP’s. you have “Élvezd” From 2017, “Mélyutés” from 2020 and “Ekmo” from 2023. This might be valuable information, because I can understand that if you like what is on “Üdv A Világomban” you might want to go out and try and explore the history of HEARTKILLER.

I can tell you that “Üdv A Világomban” is lucky enough in having received a very favourable production, as it only adds to the fact that you can distinguish and identify everything that is being played. Reading what I mentioned in the first paragraph I have to conclude that musically HEARTKILLER have their ducks in a row. And even though you aren’t able to understand one word that is being sung, this does sound good. You don’t have to worry about bad pronunciation or dictation. Instead, you just get to enjoy the atmosphere and character that the voices used and instruments played are expelling through your speakers. And even though “Üdv A Világomban” will never be construed as an earthshattering record, it is good enough to be able to say that there is enough HEARTKILLER here to enjoy for just over 33 minutes.
