Hailing from Sicilia, Italy , in these pre-summer premises , "HAUNTED" are back with their awaited second opus "Dayburner." Two years after their e ponymous effort  they are back! Stoner Doom in its simpler and basic form.Which doesn't mean that should be seen in a negative way. As i always say about Doom: "fewer notes but each one of them has its place and purpose." HAUNTED do it that way. Worrying atmospheres,horror filled fuzzy big hell of a fat sounding guitars and bass, and......FEMALE VOCALS! Remember "WINDHAND"? Well we are in the same territory. Christina Chimirri's voice is very spellbounding, just like Dorthia Cottrell's "WINDHAND". But, Christina has her own style and deliver a lot of potential to this entire Doom offering.

They played in a few festival in Europe like Eindhovenand opened for such masters like GOBLIN and the mighty CANDLEMASS so they hav great live experience. Dario Casabona, Frank Tudisco and Francesco Bauso were in bands such as SINOATH and SCHIZO before. So we have eight tracks for more than one hour of music. The tracks nearly reach a standard of 10 minutes each so if you don't like long songs, leave now. But if you want to explore, no I should say travel from life to the rivers of Styx, this is for you. As a "WINDHAND" fan, I got hooked pretty badly and I listened to the entire album more than six times this week.

Each tracks reaches the same essence and darkness. A few tracks like "Vespertine" used some well-hidden tricks to charm us in other ways: flanged bass , different guitar riffing approach, time breaks , variations, and more hazy ambiance. This song must be so hot live. A great deal of intensity and atmosphere especially around minute eight. Behind their basic and simple approach is hidden a beast that's very dangerous, because you think it isn't that harmful. But once it has a grip on your skin, you're already dead and wanting more. This album is a perfect psych stoner doom grower. HAUNTED is a deep well, echoes filled  from other dimensions. Appealing , but the fall is fatal, the water's black and thick and sticky and won't let you get back alive.YOU ARE DOOMED.
