Chug Of War
Hammer Fight

HAMMER FIGHT hails all the way from New Jersey, referring to their sound as Thrash `n` Roll. This is their first full-length album, after the EP released last year.
Spawned from a New Jersey scene saturated with Death Metal and Hardcore, HAMMER FIGHT brings a sound that many these days are missing - Hard Rockin` Metal. Sound is versatile enough to share the stage with most extreme Death Metal acts to classic Hard Rock bands and everything in between.
"Chug of War" brings just that - a surprisingly varied journey through the aesthetics of thrash metal, ranging from simple aggression-driven riffs over speed metal-styled figures to more melodic Thrash Metal elements combined with occasional hard rocking groove. There`s little leaning towards actual Rock N' Roll, which is mostly in the lead guitar part, sometimes leaning to even Blues.
Lyrics cover typical Rock `n` Roll topics. So nothing special in that part. Production is bit on the raw side, but it fits just fine.
"Chug of War" is a decent release that could have been more than it is. Vocals are weak in some points, and lyrics could be much better. It`s not pure perfection, but I`m sure many of you will find a track or two that you`ll simply adore, if it`s cause guitar riffs, amazing drums or overall versatility.
