From the band's stie: FROZEN FACTORY is a diverse-sounding metal band from Southern Finland that's largely driven by two songwriters, Stephen Baker and Tomi Hassinen, who are joined together by their fierce imagination and the determination to make the kind of music they want to hear themselves. The songs fuse elements of Metal, Prog and Alternative Rock. The band started spontaneously in December 2018 with four guys and no real plan. To be fair, they have got the gist of their musical diversity down to a T. These guys hail from Southern Finland, and I would not have predicted, especially as the pronunciation of a lot of the lyrics sound utterly British.

What can I say. Well, that the eclectic mix of styles and musical directions actually works on "Apocalypse Inc", the fourth album by FROZEN FACTORY. Somehow, they have adopted the ability to make all the different angles come together in a way that the blending is almost unnoticeable, but still very much present when you really take a listen. What I like most, though, is the fact that like with a good Pop Music record, the vocals and lyrics are just as important as the music. Singer Stephen Baker really likes to tell a story throughout every song, needs to tell his tale. And the band seem extremely happy to comply with his wishes, making listening to "Apocalypse Inc" a real pleasure.

Of course it does help that the musicians as well as the vocals all are of a very high standard. FROZEN FACTORY is able to sound so good because after the incubation period to get used to what these people play you have no choice but to be amazed at how intriguing and interesting this diverse record "Apocalypse Inc" actually is. Without exception every tune that is being brought to us is written, arranged and played in a way that commands respect. You get deep thought and lighter themes thrown at you with exactly the right atmosphere created by these musical chameleons. After a few listens, the hour it takes FROZEN FACTORY to get through all the songs on "Apocalypse Inc" seems to glide away unnoticed. And that, my friends, is the real sign that you have been listening to an album that has you mesmerised. I therefore have to conclude that I am more than enamoured by the contents that FROZEN FACTORY has given their "Apocalypse Inc" album. And yes, you will see that reflected in my ratings.
