For the second album of his project called F.E.A.S.T. the ex-MR. NO front-man Fabio Kiareli, who actually is a reputed session player and vocalist from Italy; the recipe remains exactly the same as "Rise"their first release in 2010. If you don't know his early work also published through Avenue of Allies leads by Gregor Klee from Germany (A normally more AOR oriented label) I will teach you quickly: What you see is what you get. If you look carefully at the cover of this album, you could guess what the musical content is: pure 80's Hard Rock with a strong emphasis on guitars and lot of Bluesy / Classic Rock influences. The only surprising fact, it's that the band is not American but Italian, as there is absolutely no trace of Europeans influence in their music, in the playing order you can hear some bits and tips from DOKKEN / LYNCH MOB / BADLANDS / AEROSMITH / WHITESNAKE.

Italians you said??? You could have bet your whole salary on it and lose everything. The guitar riffs are Lynchian to the bone with good sparkling solos and the whole sound ambiance is 100% 1987 Sunset strip. The lead vocals are sometimes a little bit forced, mostly at the end of the running list but nothing to bother really. Maybe the closest Europeans bands that comes to mind could have been, early THUNDER or "Dial Hard" era GOTTHARD, no more no less. Another tiny surprise is the track n°11 and the cover song of "Dancing To The Rhythm"by STEVIE WONDER in a white Coverdalized version.

Fabio Kiareli's F.E.A.S.T. album "Strong, Wild And Free" isn't really original but if you don't like the Symphonic orchestrations / double bass onslaught / blast beat and the Death Metal voices mixed with Soprano Gothic squeal, it will suit you well. Finally it's one of the best 2012 record in this style since GEORGE GAKIS and very special friends "Too Much Ain't Never Enough" from Greece or KORITNI "Welcome to the Crossroads" from Australia. If nostalgia strikes you and if the golden age of Hard Rock lacks you badly...Here is the cure!
