Techtalitarian

Be prepared to have your bones stomped flat as this Technical Death Metal release plays!

Technical Death Metal was born when someone had the idea of crossing Death Metal with a refined technical approach inherited from Jazz and/or Progressive Rock (depending of the approach the band uses). It can be said that NOCTURNUS would be a fine choice for pioneer, but things evolve in a way that bands are sounding as brutal as aggressive at the same time, as heard on “Techtalitarian”, the third album of the North American quintet ESCHATON. The sonority was worked in a way to keep the band’s brutal appeal clear, but with things being defined and understandable at the same time. It’s not a sin to say that they used the modern technologies used on recordings to improve the brutality and clarity, but that they’ll be able to reproduced at live shows.

And what insane and beautiful artwork created by Dave Melvin. The band uses a model that’s common for North American Technical Death Metal acts: explosive brutality along extreme technical rhythmic shifts. B-U-T pay attention: they have a personal way of doing so, and some elements of Deathcore can be heard on the mix as well (as the groove heard on “The Bellicose Duality”). It means that they sound as brutal and technical at the same time, with excellent instrumental arrangements, fine guitar riffs, insane bass and drums parts, and very good death growls. Be prepared!

As “Inferior Superior”, “Devour the Contrarian”, “Blood of the People”, “Hellfire’s Woe”, “The Bellicose Duality”, “Econocracy”, “Antimatter”, “Techtalitarian”, “The Sufferer’s Dichotomy” and “Castle Strnad” play, one can check that the band’s musical efforts evolved and mature, and they reached a level of quality that’s truly great. But don’t expect something a ‘one-breath’ way, because the rhythmic shifts in a so insane way that it’s keeps the interest of the listeners.

ESCHATON came and shows on “Techtalitarian” that they’re in a high level, and demands recognition. Listen to it and blow your ear off!
