Slovenian Thrash Metallers ERUPTION are back once again with their fourth studio album "Tellurian Rupture". The band have been working away on the scene since the early noughties (2004ish to be precise...ish) and they have had some pretty solid reviews on their other studio albums, and their live performances, so I am really quite eager to get stuck in! The artwork is interesting, it's a bold and great addition to any library.

Opening the record is "The Awakening", opening from an innocuous beginning, it soon develops into a well structured and full bodied Thrash Track. With an aggressive guitar tracking that is well complemented by the full force of... I'm going to say it... ERUPTION. Moving through the record, we come to "Beyond The Black", whilst it is still very obviously the ERUPTION sound, it has a variance, with a more typical Thrash sound at times, but also elements of newer Thrash influences. Sublime musicianship, an enchanting structure and just an overall hard hitting powerful performance. If you're ready for a blissful journey on an instrumental break, really just look no further than "By Ignorance Obscured", seriously, just get stuck into it.

But that blissful state is soon shattered by the powerful introduction of "Coffin-Bred". From the start to end it is just an intense and breathless journey. "Praise The Serpent Queen" shows another dimension to ERUPTION, with the gentle and clean intro, and further clean sections throughout. I think the way this is structured, when coupled with its location in the album, and the utter delightful musicianship, this could be my favourite track of the album! The record continues as it has, with fantastic tracks until the final track "Tellurian Rapture". It is a fantastic way to see out the record, with a display of everything the band is about over a thrilling 6 and a half minute record outro, and I think it captures the energy and feel of the album perfectly.

Overall, this is just a fantastic album and I really really enjoyed listening this through, For those who are unsure, is this Slayer? No, but think more of a Megadeth style sound that is so dynamic and varied that it should be a staple in any Thrash fans repertoire.
