ELECTRIC DRUIDS are a 3 piece band from Victoria, Canada. The band are unsigned at the moment. They have release the EP "Ubernicht". A four- track album which lasts 22 minutes. The band claim their intentions are to "stir the melting pot of rock to a new and potent flavour and in doing so seduce you all". For all intents the album does it well. Although it is a short EP with only 4 songs, "Ubernicht" plays well. The songs are good for turning up and tuning in. The band have written and produced a good EP, albeit a bit of a short one. ELECTRIC DRUIDS recently played a live show at "Phoenix Bar & Grill"! On December 6^th but have no other gigs coming up at the moment.

So to summarise the 4 songs on the EP, we will go in chronological order. Track 1, the title track of the EP, "Ubernicht" is a long one. It takes up almost half the album alone coming in at 9 minutes 25 seconds. It's got a rather nice opening on the guitars which is quite a lengthy instrumental. It bears down into a faster paced tone giving way to Steve Gibbs vocals. Song number 2 on "Chancer" is a sorter track, like the other at 3 minutes 13 seconds. Opening with a faster more head banging pace it has bite. The drums and guitaring are more hard and fast in tempo. Its a song that should be played loud and one you can swing your hair to. "Another World" is song number 3 on the album "UBERNICHT". Its a song that lasts 4 minutes 4 seconds and is one that opens with a heavy throw of instrumental and vocals giving way to the fast tempo and pace of the way the song does indeed take you to another world. The last song on the EP is "Infamy" It opens with a hail of drums & guitars in a heavy way. The song is about gaining infamy through your life and how it comes about. It's a track that lasts 4 minutes 34 seconds.

In my opinion the EP is a good listen, even though it's quite a short one. It could have been doing with an extra couple of song to bulk it out a bit and add more time to the play time of the album. It has been well written, performed and produced. Nothing inherently bad about the EP to speak of. My only complaint is that there isn't more to the album, I think if ELECTRIC DRUIDS put another 2 - 3 songs on the EP it would have been better, but the song they have made are easy to listen to and play well so for that it makes the album worth listening to. The instrumentals in the EP are played well and show the skills of the band rather well, they are lengthy and loud. Played to a high standard which shows the dedication of the band to produce good music.
