Die Hölle ist hier
Eisenkult

Again: it seems that - unlike other Black Metal schools in Europe - German Black Metal scene holds a pride of being hidden into underground, because few names of the genre on Germany broke the limits of its frontiers to gain recognition from the fans throughout the world, being BETHLEHEM, FALKENBACH, DARK FORTRESS, NARGAROTH, NINNGHIZHIDDA and few others exceptions, even not being as greater as names from Sweden, Norway, Finland and UK. And going on the way of being pride of underground is the trio EISENKULT with its fourth full-length, “Die Hölle ist hier”.
The sonority follows the ‘lo-fi’ tendencies into Black Metal in some aspects (of course due the sharp and cold-filling outfit), but allowing the band to sound defined and understandable, with sharp and aggressive instrumental tunes. On the songs, people can believe that the trio works on an Old School Black Metal way from the 90s: cold, harsh and aggressive, bearing some Black/Thrash Metal elements (as the riffs heard on “Die Asche eines Engels”), some melodic arrangements (presented on “Ich wünsch’ mir alles weg”), and even some keyboards and clean guitars can be heard on their music, giving an atmospheric touch to some moments (as on the beginning of “Hassgesang”, where clean vocals can be heard as well). It is Black Metal influenced by the old days, but with many musical layers.
On the songs, the contrasts between harsh and faster ones with others with a more atmospheric appeal is what the fans need to be attached to it. It means that after hearing to “Ich wünsch’ mir alles weg”, “Der Teufel selbst”, “Die Asche eines Engels”, “Hassgesang”, “Die Hölle ist hier”, “Von Gott gehasst”, “Kreuzböser Dämon”, “Töte mich”, “Eine Handvoll Nägel” and “Flügel tragen mich hinfort” (“Vigil” works as an intro) are excellent songs of a mature band that knows what’s doing. And it’s strange to not see the band’s name in the Black Metal circles, because their musical work is truly excellent.
“Die Hölle ist hier”, as a fourth full-length, depicts that EISENKULT is a band ready for higher levels and to assume a place in the Black Metal scene worldwide. Listen and check, as these words are true.
