Destruction - The AntiChrist (remastered) album cover

2001 was probably one of the best of years in DESTRUCTION's career. That year, the band elevated itself as a Thrash monster and delivered a true classic, "The Antichrist".Although they titled the album with a name deep sunk into controversy, this is their "Reign In Blood","Beneath The Remains" and "Rust In Peace".Metal Mind Productions presented a remastered version of "The Antichrist" along with its follower, "Metal Discharge".

In comparison to the return album of "All Hell Breaks Loose", DESTRUCTION learned their lesson in various ways and their deed on this one reshaped their abilities. For starters, it became relevant in their production. Still going on immensely heavy, the work on the overall mix and mastering turned out a whole lot better this time. Although there are still hints of high gains, you can still differentiate between the instruments. The bass has a clear line alongside the doses of guitar lines, the vocals are stronger and are equally forward with the guitars. Other than that, no further comments, this is a major blasting work.

Secondly, there is the material. DESTRUCTION always had their basic structure to make a song. For example, crying out the song's title in choruses is something that won't ever tire them out. On occasions, this sort of style will turn out boring, but not here. When the lyrics and the guy who delivers them are strong, it won't be stopped no matter what. If you want to analyze it more, you can say that DESTRUCTION reused their style in their tunes quite a lot but they aren't afraid of redoing songs under the same formula. If the songs are musically intense with fast pace and creative riffs and vocally demonic and thrilling, who is to say otherwise about it if they are making a classic? For example, take a look on some of the hits: "Thrash Till Death", "Nailed To The Cross", "Bullets Of Hell", "Let it Rot" and others. "The Antichrist"presentedDESTRUCTION in their top form. There was almost nothing to change after this album, however, if you know DESTRUCTION, some things did change.

Maybe the only song that did go that well for DESTRUCTION is "Meet Your Destiny". It is a cool song, yet, you can't compare it to the others. Largely, DESTRUCTION, back then, made a huge effort to bring "The Antichrist" to the status of a classic Thrash Metal album. Songs like "Thrash Till Death" and "Nailed To The Cross" are undying hits from this album and played a lot live.

As for bonus, Metal Mind Productions gave you a chance to relive the famous classic track of "Curse The Gods", which DESTRUCTION remade it and re-recorded it; tough and aggressive with a better production as a cloud. Don't miss this gem, log in to Metal Mind for a quick buy, this is a must.
