Into Victory
Demonical
DEMONICAL hailing from Avesta, Sweden were formed in 2006. They are a Death Metal band and released seven full-length albums. "Into Victory" is their third EP and it has a length of just eight minutes. It was mixed and mastered by Ronnie Björnström (BODYFARM; DAEMONICUS; PAGANIZER) at Björmström Sound and Production. The EP was released via Polish Death and Black Metal specialists Agonia Records.
The EP starts strongly with "Into Victory" at a measured mid-tempo. The riffing is thunderous, and the melodies are epic with anthemic choruses. The growling vocals are around the medium end of the guttural range. The track is driven by the guitars with a frequent double-bass drumming in support, while the vocals go with the melodies. When I listen to "Into Victory", it reminds me a bit on epic classics of AMON AMARTH. "Into Victory" was released as lyric video, and the YouTube link is provided below. "Somebody Put Something In My Drink" is a cover song of the old RAMONES classic. The Death Metal arrangement sounds very cool, and it is really enjoyable listening to it.
"Into Victory" is a very short release with just one new original song, but that does not take anything way that the song is a Death Metal track of high quality. The RAMONES cover on top of it is a bonus. The release is well produced. If "Into Victory" is a teaser for a potentially upcoming new album, then Death Metal fans have something to look forward to.
