Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: DEATHCHANT - hailing from the United States of America - performing Stoner Metal, on their sophomore album entitled: "Waste" (released June 25th, 2021).

Since formation in the band's first deliverance of the self-titled album; DEATHCHANT have only these two in their discography so far, I'm introduced to their second offering entitled: "Waste" 6 tracks ranging at around 38 minutes; the band in question arrange an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Stoner Metal developments.

Opening up with this spacious array of static; an electrifying feedback implodes with this riveting groove as amplified adrenaline, boisterously bouncy firepower & trailblazing hooks element a flamboyant flair on rampantly rompy maelstrom finesse in which thuds with sturdy remedy. "Rails" starts things off with chunky frets, ripping soars and a blistering chisel on wildly rushing impact. Clobbering eardrums with radically wicked riffage where dazzling but frolicking chugs gallop with uniquely versatile vehemence where trippy yet psychedelic breakdowns from consisting guitar duo John Belino drives with punchline laceration on killer panache while vocal/guitarist TJ Lemieux multitasks with weighty tightness, rapidly swift nimbleness & organic substance while pumping out steamrolling strums amongst a harmonic virtuosity on quintessential pipes that surge with throaty bellows in which mesmerise you with fuzzy harmony.

An experimental hybrid of Proto-Metal surges with catchy finesse; as boogie fuelled vibes rollick with jazzy heft, "Black Dirt" injects an infectiously hammering bombardment of piledriving reverb & rumbling synergy while audible bassist George Camacho thumps profusely with punchy flickers amongst a rambunctiously solid pulse of jumpy melody to boot. "Holy Roller" tones things down a little before bringing the powerhouse persistence back full force, as hammering drummer implements a robust manifestation of volatile kicks while razor-sharp zeal salubriously slays with gnarly distortion and creatively dextrous dynamism. Colin Fahmer on drums batters his set with steely precision, as "Gallows" gravitates with rhythmic ramifications on duel guitar assaults and twinning marvellousness while sonically seamless perseverance pummels speakers with rampantly rompy stability.

The titular track distils fluidly with old school rock 'n roll speed while the penultimate track "Plague" has a doom-laden bolt immersed with righteous blasts of crushing calamities in which trigger with strident vibrancy & potent swerve while the overall concluding belter "Maker" closes the record with unrelenting strikes without many lyrics to engage in on however it shows that the band doesn't need them in order to blow your mind with.

Bottom line; "Waste" delivers an uncompromising utility on swag, tasteful tuneage & immense aesthetics that shrouds eardrums with intense executions but euphonic meatiness to boot. An enjoyably entertaining experience that will rock your momentous spectrum tenfold that will start the day off right. Worthy of spinning & replaying a few handful of times! Do check it out.
