Falling Back To Earth

I had a vivid remembrance of a great time, two years ago while I enjoyed the band's first album "Cross Your Heart...And Hope To Die", it was a fine piece of guitar driven Hard Rock/AOR infused with an obvious English flavors and this debut CD received some rave reviews and a bunch of approbation in many Melodic Rock circles!
The new material seems in the same vein, of course the experienced boys from Birmingham do not reinvented the wheel but "Falling Back To Earth" is showing a precise and delicate songwriting method with as much subtlety as we all hope from a Modern day AOR outlet, still keeping a strong link with the 80's golden era and a solid biting edge!
Tony Nicholl's voice is still impressive and as always, he's the main focus in each and every song, from the nice singles "I'll Be Seeing You" / "Samarah Never Sleeps" which are set in an Anthemic mode, to the more throaty and raspy "Red Lights". The feeling of mastery of his vocal gift is omnipresent, his commitment and his honesty in cuts like "Scream Out Loud" or "Fallen Star" is also unquestionable.
One of my favorite cut is also "Paradise Is Lost" strongly charged in epic riffage and influenced by MAGNUM, where the mid section is a showcase for the instrumentalists and an attempt for them to prove their skills with verve! The sonic side is also improved by a very dynamic production, the sound mixing is quite airy and in the same time perfectly dense, serving the high-end sensation and another fine parameter in order to reinforcing the sublime overall impression of this successful new work.
DAYLIGHT ROBBERY are a bunch of endemic dangerous recidivists, the Mi5, Scotland Yard and Interpol should be warned about their nasty projects, a real potential in stealing the first place of the ranking of the final top 2014... Will we be complicit in these abuses in silence?
