DANIELE MAZZA is the founder, main songwriter and lyricist of symphonic power metal act ANCIENT BARDS. DANIELE's talents are limitless, though, and to use the word "accomplished" with his achievements is an understatement. Classically trained on the piano, DANIELE has a plethora of beauteous compositions to his name. His latest release, "Immortals", is a fine example of the magnificent talent he holds, no doubt appealing to a broad spectrum of classically oriented music fans. With eleven captivatingly graceful and sublimely powerful tracks featuring on "Immortals", those who enjoy the work of aficionados of classically imposing music HANS ZIMMER, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA and Sweden's finest, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, will fall in love with DANIELE's latest release.

Wasting no time to immerse you in the atmospheric, the cinematic feeling instantly hits you with the bombastic prelude of symphonic sounds in title-track "Immortals", chock-full of layered orchestral instrumentals, grand choral arrangements and soaring power from start to finish. Whilst the sonic journey then continues in "Believe in Dreams" with the dulcet tones of piano chords, gently tinkering and string arrangements that wash through and the delight of percussion dancing on air throughout. The resounding splendour and delicate nature soothes with its mellifluous tones, DANIELE showcasing his ability to expertly intertwine so many emotive nuances to ignite your soul.

You're placed firmly in the front row of dramatic soundscapes, with the likes of "The Floating Fortress of the Rising Sun" overpowering with its force and grace, boundless minor nuances reeling you into a journey of epic proportion. Quickly followed by the battalion stance of "In the Heart of Battle" to keep you on your toes with forged steel blades swiping and the majesty of marching drums placing you at the edge of your seat with delightful guitar solos that ease through, but with substance and dominance, followed by the mellow and enticing Japanese flavours of the shakuhachi. DANIELE's ability to transport you to Asian pastures is mesmerising, taking you to the forefront of a dramatic samurai-style narrative through sonics. "Takyo's Secret Force" plunges you into Japanese feeling nuances once more, offering the dramatic in abundance, whilst "The Wave of Destiny" switches to the more poignant and profound, a pause to collect your thoughts, with perfectly timed caesuras that offer opportunity for bombastic and brave brass build-up to ignite with a more incendiary feel to the track. The capabilities of DANIELE's musical prowess are so obvious throughout "Immortals", from start to finish, with the touching track "Time to Go" offering sombre soundscapes of pianissimo sweetness that blankets the album perfectly. Sincerely, this is one of the most impassioned and emotive sonic journeys you'll ever experience.

"Immortals" is a fittingly majestic soundtrack to accompany the most dramatic and epic of cinematic experiences. Bombastic and dripping with resplendence, without ostentation, DANIELE MAZZA has expertly created a collection of compositions to be savoured by those who enjoy their music on the lofty yet symphonic side of things. This is the perfect album to sit back with an exquisite single malt and immerse yourself in DANIELE's sonic shroud of sweetness.
